As therapist, we witness firsthand the power of resilience in our clients’ lives and often draw upon a wealth of strategies to help them cultivate this essential quality. In this article, we explore some of the key strategies shared by therapists for fostering resilience in the face of adversity.

Mindfulness and Self-Compassion

Mindfulness and self-compassion are powerful tools for cultivating resilience. Therapists often encourage clients to cultivate mindfulness—a present-moment awareness of thoughts, feelings, and sensations—to develop a greater sense of clarity and perspective.
